We are proud to announce the promotion of Robert Shuford to Senior Manager, Huntsville Operations, in the SD&IO Division.
In his new role, Robert will oversee Missile Defense, Cyber Security, and Army Operations, while managing a diverse team of managers, systems engineers, facilities engineers, and cyber engineers across our Huntsville operations. He will also lead the NSWC Crane efforts in Huntsville. Robert has made a significant impact successfully overseeing the Army contract, while simultaneously taking over daily operations for our MDA Mentor Protégé task with Astra Solutions. His mentorship has been pivotal in key operational areas and has helped introduce Astra to new customers in Huntsville, Dahlgren, and the Washington, DC area.
Beyond his technical expertise and managerial experience, Robert is a natural at building relationships and expanding networks. His ability to connect with others and foster genuine relationships has already enhanced our presence in the Huntsville market. Colleagues and clients alike appreciate his approachability, making him a respected and valued leader in our growing operations in the region.
When asked about his career at JRC, Robert shared, “I’ve worked at a few companies, but JRC just feels like home. The family integrity culture rolls downhill from the executive team to the individual contributors, and that makes all the difference.”
Outside of work, Robert has several passions. His primary hobby is fitness, which he turned into a personal training and wellness coaching business during the COVID pandemic. What started with a request to train a high school friend remotely grew into a full-service personal training business. In his spare time, Robert trains clients in his home gym, helping people achieve their fitness goals. He also has a passion for real estate and has flipped over 15 houses since 2020, combining his love for hands-on work with his business acumen.
